Hacienda is the largest mixed-use development of its kind in Northern California. The 875-acre development includes 5,600 residents and more than 675 businesses occupying over 7 million square feet of facilities. The recently improved Hacienda website is a one-stop resource for all things Hacienda. That includes details about projects and tenants, the free WHEELS transit pass program, Hacienda Pulse news, and information on housing, childcare, recreation, security, and more.

The five menu items across the top of every Hacienda web page guide visitors to what they seek. The About the Park tab provides an introduction, tenant case studies, details on accessing business opportunities, and a description of Hacienda Helping Hands, a community support campaign. The Location tab leads to sections called Project Overview, Property Profile, Business Locator, and Special Offers. The Amenities tab offers information tailored for owners and investors, businesses, and employees and residents. News & Events provides links to Hacienda Online publications, news about Hacienda itself, and an event calendar. The final tab, My Hacienda, is a new portal that allows users to register for an account or log in to an established account to access special benefits for tenants and residents or to subscribe to Hacienda newsletters.

To explore Hacienda in more depth, select the Project Overview item below The Location tab. The Project Overview section includes information on Location and Demographics, Amenities, Description, Economy, Infrastructure, and Sustainability. Highlights include The Location and Demographics section, which provides context for Hacienda’s location and demographic traits for the Tri-Valley region. The Description section includes a Hacienda map, land uses, and development activity. Choose Economy for additional context and to see the Hacienda Index of publicly traded companies at the development. Infrastructure details the park’s robust delivery systems for data and telecommunications, power, and water. The Sustainability link includes information on Hacienda’s focus on sustainable design and transportation, as well as efficient use of resources such as air, water, and energy; proper waste recycling and disposal; and green operations.

The Property Profile section under The Location menu provides an interactive map that allows users to filter Hacienda facilities in a variety of ways. Users can select a property from the map to view a detailed profile of the property. Profiles include a list of that facility’s tenants, project characteristics, total and available square footage, and a way to contact the site property manager and broker.

Business Locator, found under The Location tab, leads to a custom map that shows specific businesses in the park, specific industry segments, and new tenants. The map includes a custom search field. Search filter options include results by business name, business type, and office type, including Recent Businesses. The Special Offers section, also found under The Location tab, offers a changing variety of discounts and deals available to Hacienda residents, tenants, and their employees.

The News & Events tab provides access to a repository of current and archived articles and publications that offer an overview of the different types of companies and industries that have thrived at Hacienda as well as perspective on the development's history. Hacienda Online, the first item under News & Events, is the category for the development’s digital newsletters. Registered users can sign up to receive any or all of the newsletters automatically by email. Pulse features news from Hacienda businesses, company profiles, interviews with park executives, the latest on community nonprofits and events, Business Bits, and the Hacienda Index for the publicly traded companies located in the development.

Connection highlights the Special Offers program for Hacienda employees and residents. Community News is a source of information from Tri-Valley communities. View listings of special events, fundraisers, and updates from Tri-Valley city offices. Development Update offers the latest news on Hacienda tenant transactions, occupancy, development, population, demographics, valuation, and related information. Property Resource provides important information for Hacienda owners and their agents about the management of their Hacienda projects, from outlining everything from key rules and regulations applicable to Hacienda properties to assistance programs designed to simplify property management. Two older newsletters, Network and Pathways, remain available as great sources of historic information on Hacienda.

News and Event Calendar can also be found under the News & Events tab. Under the News item, one can find Hacienda In The News, an archive of articles about Hacienda, as well as Press Releases, an archive of press releases issued by Hacienda. Press releases are published on Hacienda development, absorption, and other newsworthy items.

The Event Calendar under News & Events provides a comprehensive listing of events taking place both in the development and in the surrounding community. Networking opportunities, art shows, music and theater performances, and meetings of community service and special interest clubs are just some of the items listed. The Event Calendar shows the complete calendar for the current month. Users can move forward or backward a month using the page controls and alternate between day, week, and month views. They can also filter events by category, including Community; Arts & Entertainment; Sports & Recreation; Education & Training; Associations & Non-Profits; and Travel & Transportation. To submit items for the calendar, simply click on the Submit Event button on the top right of the main calendar page and fill in the requested information. Once approved, the event will be added to the main listing.

New Portal Makes Benefits Easier to Access

My Hacienda is a new portal that allows users to register for an account or log in to an established account to access the many special benefits for tenants and residents. The portal and its dashboard give users an easier way to access Hacienda amenities and connect with a variety of programs. Each month, for example, Hacienda collects and posts new offerings for the community on the Special Offers pages found under the The Location menu on the Hacienda website. Hacienda residents and employees are eligible for discounts at both local and regional attractions, sporting events, and special activities. Local discounts include savings for a number of popular Bay Area attractions. For travels out of the Bay Area, discounts are also available for many popular vacation spots in the Los Angeles, San Diego, and Central Valley areas.

Hacienda businesses interested in making a special offer available to the Hacienda community are invited to submit their offer online using the form in the Special Offers section. Hacienda’s Special Offers discounts are routinely distributed through information packages and special promotions and present an excellent opportunity to reach the thousands of employees and residents who make Hacienda their home.

While the Hacienda website is packed with information, additional features and services are available to users who create an account. Among the most popular Hacienda amenities are a number of commute benefits for both employees and residents. Hacienda’s nationally recognized commute programs help make traveling to and from work more efficient, more economical, and more productive, in a manner tailored to your individual needs. To name one sought-after perk, anyone who works or lives in Hacienda is entitled to a free WHEELS Eco pass, which allows free travel on the local bus system.

Similarly, those that live or work in the development are eligible for a number of first-time rider programs, which offer a free trip on other nearby rail and bus services. Hacienda also provides information about local transit options and the location of park transit stops, walking and bicycling support services, a free Guaranteed Ride Home when you use a commute alternative, and individual support in planning your commute. Information and applications for all of these benefits are made available to registered users.

Hacienda’s amenities programs extend beyond commuting. Hacienda Security provides continuous monitoring of the entire development using both patrols and watches, making officers highly visible deterrents to crime, accidents, vandalism, and malicious mischief. Any time of day and any day of the year, Hacienda Security officers are available to meet the needs of employees, residents, businesses and owners.

Using the Hacienda website, you can also find information on local health care providers, childcare and education, housing opportunities, shopping, and the area’s various recreation outlets. Registered users also get access to a host of resources regarding housing, including documents covering affordable housing opportunities for renters, buyers, seniors, and the disabled.

Readers are invited to create their own Hacienda accounts to gain access to the many special features on the site. Simply go to the Hacienda website and select Create Account under the My Hacienda tab at the top of any page. Initiate your account by entering your name and setting up a username and password. To gain access to special user features available to Hacienda affiliates, scroll down the page and select the type of account you would like to create, whether Business, Employee, Resident, Vendor, Community, or General. Complete the details on the following page related to the type of account you are creating. After submission, the account will be verified and you will receive a confirmation email that your account has been activated. Once activated, you will have complete access to all of the special features available to your account type.
